sweet

check out this bumper harvest!
on this beautiful last day of mayWe've been dog sitting the Malcolm's doggies for a few days. Two jack russels, sweep and mitsy in the house, dottie the collie and her six amazing little puppies in the stables and another two farm dogs in the kennels. Between feeding them, the lambs, chickens (and ourselves) we've had our work cut out the last couple of days! It's been such fun though! I made me realise how much I really do want a dog... Maybe one day eh...
sweep (the black one) is an irish jack russel and just the kind I want

my favorite pup, I called him precious because that's just what he was.
look into his eyes....

we're off to edinburgh tomorrow to watch 7s, one of the things H got me for my b-day. I'm really looking forward to it and I will wear my Wasps shirt with pride as they won the Guinness premiership today and gave every body's hero Dallaglio the send off into retirement he deserved

summer evening

wild garlic
I've had a lovely evening after a completely unproductive day. I went for a walk in the evening sunshine down to the field to feed patrick, picked some roses and absolutely amazing strawberries from the polytunnel, put the chickens away and fed our latest arrivals, the twins. They came to us on thursday and were so scared and malnourished but they are getting friendlier by the minute, amazing little creatures. Iain said we saved their lives.

two new friends, twins, we call them big and little

this is so funny!
watch it.
rugby season is coming to an end and my body is saying yes please give me a break, well we'll see about that. I have signed up for a touch rugby team in stirling, a great bunch of boys and girls, and we've joined a thursday night league in glasgow. I'm also thinking of taking up rugby league, tennis and maybe yoga or pilates whilst keeping up the weightlifting... I wouldn't call it a "rest" but I have to keep busy this summer if we are going to stay sane here. We've been bored with the job lately and thinking of going back to London or somewhere else. 24 weeks until we fly out to NZ... But somehow I think we'll regret it sitting in a stinking hot london summer thinking back on what we could have had here...
I'm regretting not going to norfolk.
At the moment I think the best thing to do would be to enjoy summer here and maybe finish up a bit earlier and go on a holiday before our holiday. these choices aren't easy...
but actually, who am I to complain, we do have a very interesting way of life and the freedom to go if and where we want to, that's amazing. life is good ...really
